Introducing......Military Wedding Discounts

Today I would like to explain my absence from Twitter over the past few weeks and introduce to you all to my new website – MilitaryWedding Discounts.

My husband is in the Army and a few weeks back we had news that his best friend was injured while serving in Afghanistan. Thankfully he is now recovering well after his recent surgery but it has really bought home how much we would like to help raise money for a worthy cause.

Supporting a military charity is something we have wanted to do for a long time and combining it with our love of weddings has made the project such a joy to work on and we are very much looking forward to the exciting times ahead.

Military Wedding Discounts has been created to help members of the Armed Forces in both the UK and USA save money when planning their wedding.

We also donate 50% of all advertising fees to charity - Help For Heroes (UK Suppliers) and Operation Gratitude (USA Suppliers).

As well as donating 50% of the advertising fees, we will also be looking into organising fundraising events of our own so keep an eye on the News & Events page for further updates. If anyone has any ideas or would like to get involved with this then please feel free to contact us – we would love to hear from you!

If you are a bride/groom who would like to submit your wedding to be featured on Military Wedding Discounts or if you are a Photographer and you would like to submit your work, please check out our Submissions page for further details.

If you are a wedding supplier who would like to advertise with us or are interested in becoming a sponsor, please contact us for further info.

So there you go, that’s what I have been up to over the past few weeks! I’m sorry once again for the lack of posts but I promise I will try my hardest to keep on top from now on.

Lots of love

I just have to tell you about......

I have just tried this product for the first time and all I can say is WOW!

The lovely hubby treated me to a bottle of one of my favourite perfumes Chanel Mademoiselle for Valentines Day and the lovely lady at the counter gave him lots of free samples Chanel's Ultra Correction Restructuring Anti-Wrinkle Firming Cream for me to try!

Last night my skin was feeling very dry and unloved so after my bath, instead of whacking on the usual Simple Kind To Skin Hydrating Moisturising Lotion I decided to crack open one of the samples and give it a shot.

The cream is very light and goes onto your skin like a dream. It's smells lovely and fresh and you could feel the effects straight away. You don't need to use much at all - a little goes a long way. When I woke up this morning my face felt as smooth as a baby's bum and just feels fab! Apparently 'Your skin will appear visibly younger-looking in just a few weeks' so I will be sure to report back.

A quick update from me!

Hi guys,

I am so sorry for the lack of posts over the last few weeks but I have been so busy working on another project that is due to launch tomorrow which we are very excited about and you will be the first to hear once it goes live!

As you can see, the blog looks a bit different! I had real trouble with the last template design so had no choice but to temporarily change to this format. I’ve made it look as pretty as I can for the time being but I will be working on a big overhaul in the next few weeks!!

I have got lots of exciting things coming up on My Wedding Wonderland now that the wedding planner has finished (I do have a PDF copy of the planner available if anyone would like this – just email me and I will have this sent to you). I have got two competitions and some fab featured supplier interviews coming up - all very exciting stuff!

I’m going to love you and leave you to get on with your Monday but I will be back tomorrow!
